Requesting a Review & Adding your profile to Google my Business
Requesting reviews is a great way to build up your online profile so prospective clients can see the great experience you’ve provided for past clients. Zillow only permits people you have represented to leave you a review, but Google allows anyone can leave a review.
Requesting a Zillow Review
From your Zillow Premier Agent profile, click on the box at the top right labeled “Request a Review.” Scroll to the bottom of the page to get a link you can copy and paste.
Send an email to the past client using the following script:
Dear ______,
Congratulations again on your closing! I really appreciated the opportunity to work with you and I hope you were pleased with your experience with me as your real estate agent.
As you know, my business hinges heavily on my work ethic and my ability to help you through the process of buying your home. Because of that, my business continues to grow with every successful transaction. Part of growing my business is growing my online reputation (as everyone searches for homes online now), and Zillow has helped me to do so as a Premier Agent on their website.
My Zillow profile includes a list of reviews from my past clients. Leaving me a review on Zillow is the equivalent of rating a service company on Angie’s List; it's really important not only for me but also for others who might consider doing business with me in the future.
I would really appreciate it if you took a couple minutes and left me a 5 star review by clicking on the link included below. It's super simple and will take you no more than a few minutes but I would REALLY appreciate it.

Please note: If you don't already have a Zillow account, you will be asked to provide your email to help prevent fraudulent reviews, but they won't send you annoying or unnecessary emails.

Requesting a Google Review
You can request a Google review from anyone who knows you, so it could be past clients, current clients, leads you are working with, lenders/closers/etc., and people in your sphere with knowledge of your real estate experience. Here’s the link to our Google review request site:
If the past client has already left you a Zillow review, you could just ask that they cut and paste the review into the Google link.
If the person has NOT already left you a Zillow review, here’s a sample script:
Dear __________,
As you know, most everyone searches for homes online now, so a big part of growing my real estate business is maintaining my online profile. I’m writing to ask that you take a couple of minutes and leave me a Google review on my team’s Google profile.
I would really appreciate it if you would leave me a 5 star review by clicking on the link included below. It's super simple and will take you no more than a few minutes.
